Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, is located in the Cumberland Valley in the south-central part of the Keystone State. It’s about an hour outside of Harrisburg and roughly three hours from Philadelphia. The small town is home to Shippensburg University, and every year at the end of July about 60,000 to 70,000 invade the town for the annual Corn Festival, Shippensburg’s version of a street fair. Several affordable hotels are located in the area.
